The Modern World
A Final Unit on the State of the
World
During
the last three weeks of this class we will look at three themes of the
Post-World War II world. They are:
1. The Cold War
2. World Poverty and Economic Globalization
3. The United Nations and Global Security Problems
While
we are experiencing class lessons on these topics, you will begin to research
for a final presentation that will relate to these three themes. A description of this presentation is
below. In addition to this
presentation, you should prepare for the World Cultures Final Exam. You will receive a study guide for the
final exam. The exam will be
mostly multiple choice with one written part. The written part will require you to describe in detail one
of the three themes of this final unit.
