Current Event Newscast
In
groups of two or three students, you will create a TV newscast on a current
event or problem that faces the world.

Research
We
will be in the computer lab two days next week. You should use the internet to do your research. You should begin your research by
reading about your topic in the UN News Centre found at Mr. McGlashan’s
World Cultures Web Page:

Requirements

at least two visuals that the camera can zoom in on during your newscast. These visuals can be maps, charts,
graphs, or pictures.

should speak like a newscaster.
Face the camera. Talk
clearly. Do not giggle or move
around. You may use queue cards,
but do not stare down at them.
Look at the camera as much as possible.
